Testimonials

"I have BPD and I had absolutely no hope for myself until I listened A.J. Mahari's Audio, Finding Hope From the Polarized Negativity of BPD. This and a few other audios I listened to taught me so much. I now have hope. I now understand how I have kept myself trapped in my own borderline chaos as a way of not feeling my pain. I can now change this. I highly recommend others with BPD listen to A.J.'s Audios for Borderlines."

-- Lindy Sinclair, U.S.A.

"I didn't think anyone else could possibly know or understand what I was going through. I also didn't think anyone could be so compassionate and patient with me as A.J. Mahari was as my life coach. She gave me support, information, and tools. Tools that have enabled me to truly find myself and to set and achieve my goals. Thanks so much for everything A.J.! -- Mandy"

"A.J., your ebook about Verbal Abuse helped me to realize so much. I needed to know that I was placing myself in danger and that verbal abuse is not something to minimize. I also needed to know that toxic relating isn't love. Thanks so much for writing and making that ebook available."

Recovery From Borderline Personality Disorder is Possible - Introduction This is the first in a series of audios by A.J. Mahari about Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Recovery. This audio which is also an introduction to the series of audios that A.J. Mahari is doing about BPD and recovery is 40 minutes in length.

A.J. Mahari is a writer, speaker, mental health and life coach and a woman who recovered from Borderline Personality Disorder 14 years ago. Mahari has been there. Her perspective on BPD and recovery from BPD are truly insightful and from the inside out as someone who has lived the experience of all that she so profoundly describes in her ebooks and audio programs.

As Mahari herself says, "Recovery from BPD is a process. It is a process that is somewhat unique and individual in its unfolding in each person's life. It is a journey. It is not easy but it is such a worthwhile experience."

This is the second audio in A.J. Mahari's Audio Series about various aspects of Borderline Personality Disorder and Recovery

Choice and Recovery From Borderline Personality Disorder
Having recovered from Borderline Personality Disorder 14 years ago, A.J. Mahari, talks about how and why she made the choice to recover from BPD. Choice is a much larger part of the process and unfolding journey of recovery than many with BPD may realize.

In this 1 hour and 15 minute audio, Mahari explains why if you haven't already made this choice in your own life why it will benefit you and the reality that there is no escaping the pain that you need to face and learn how to resolve and heal in order to recover from Borderline Personality Disorder. Continuing to try to escape your emotional pain will keep you stuck in and with BPD.

The very choices that you most need to make may well be difficult to bring to your conscious awareness because with more insight and knowledge about what you need will rise the unresolved pain of your core wound of abandonment. In the battling to avoid this pain - pain that you may not yet know how to effectively cope with in healthy ways - the choice you are making that you may not realize is a choice to stay the same and to continue to suffer.

Borderline Personality Disorder compromises your ability to integrate your intellectual understanding with increased emotional awareness. This is why it is important to make a choice to get on the road to recovery and to let that process unfold as it will - as it must - so that you can find out who you really are.

A.J. Mahari provides her first-hand experience and insight into how she recognized her choice points in the process of her recovery from BPD and shares with the listener how they too can learn to make new choices that will support their getting on the road to recovery from BPD.

Quotes From A.J. Mahari

"At the heart of the core wound of abandonment in BPD and its impact are many factors. Central among these factors however is the pain of loss. The pain of abandonment. The loss of authentic self."

-- A.J. Mahari in her Ebook, "Understanding BPD - The Lost Self - The Impact of the Core Wound of Abandonment"

"What is in the way - is the way. If you have Borderline Personality Disorder it is the fundamental absence of a known self that sits at the very core of your pain, anger, and your rage. It is your rage that stands between your borderline pain and suffering and your recovery. Your lack of a known and defined self is what is in your way."

-- A.J. Mahari in her Ebook, "Rage And BPD"

"The central source of negativity in BPD is what I call the core wound of abandonment. It is the abandonment wound that is the foundation of the black-and-white all-or-nothing thinking that perpetuates the borderline one-sided and pervasive negative experience in life. This negativity in those with BPD blocks them from the experience of hope. Hope is a central ingredient necessary for getting on the road to recovery."

-- A.J. Mahari in her Audio Program, "Finding Hope From The Polarized Negativity of BPD"
